Mission: Promote positive youth development and strengthen families.
Jurisdiction: Collaborate with others to provide services that address the personal, social and developmental needs of Southwestern Indiana youth.
Philosophy: Help promote socially responsible behavior for youth and their families.
Purposes:
- Assist the Court system in providing services to children and youth.
- Provide 24-hour crisis intervention service.
- Provide educational and other services to prevent dependence on substances.
- Provide education and crisis intervention services to reduce and eliminate family violence.
- Educate the community to positive alternatives in child rearing.
- Collaborate with the United Way and others to research and assess the needs of young people to assure that these needs are being met.
- Collaboratively coordinate with area youth-serving resources.
- Advocate for youth by identifying their needs and, within the context of the youth’s family and the community, offer interventions and solutions.
